Tom has worked in the substance misuse field for five years in a number of different settings. Since starting work for TTP in Jan 2010 he has worked his way up from Recovery Coach to the position of Centre Manager.
Tom’s previous roles have included working in a supported accommodation environment and also as a Team Leader in a Tier 3 structured day care centre. Tom is a qualified NLP practitioner and has NVQ’s in Health & Social Care and Team Leading as well as certificates in Counselling. He is currently pursuing studies in Management and aims to develop his practice further through additional studies in Dual Diagnosis.
Prior to joining Trust the Process, Dr Barny has had a wealth of experience in Substance Misuse/Addiction Psychiatry over many years across the UK, following completion of Basic Specialist Training in Psychiatry. He has worked in Drug Research and is currently involved with postgraduate studies in the Addictions and is a member of the Society for the Study of Addictions among others.
Fiona is a registered adult nurse who originally worked in a Trauma & Orthopaedic unit. It was here that she first developed an interest in the substance misuse field. She oversees the nursing team and delivers any training necessary for both current and new staff. As part of her role she works closely with Tom Hegarty (Centre Manager) and Dr Barny Edohasim to review clinical protocols to enable the nursing team to be delivering best practice. Fiona carries out clinical supervision for the nursing team and facilitates the regular team meetings. She is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Nursing Studies and an NVQ in Leadership and Management.
Ricky has four years experience in the substance misuse field – working in both Bradford and Lancashire. His experience so far has been in Community Outreach, Community Support, Housing Support, this including one-to-one work, therapeutic group work. He is inspired to work in this area through his own recovery.
As a primary counsellor Ricky’s responsibilities are: Team Leader for the Therapeutic Team, overseeing and delivering group sessions and Service User Co-ordinating. He has an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and has done a number of short courses, such as Motivational interviewing, ITEP and Conflict Resolution. He is currently studying NVQ Level 3 in Management, and is further developing his skills in Addiction studies and aims to gain a Psychodynamic Counselling Qualification.
Jodean is a registered nurse and has a DIP HE in nursing people with learning disabilities and is currently working towards her NVQ Level 4 in Management. Jodean delivers mentoring for our Nurses and delivers training for Support Workers around safe administration of medication. She is passionate about the multi-disciplinary team ethos here at TTP Bradford and also working with clients holistically to ensure their detox is both comfortable and safe.
Debbie has previous experience as an Auxiliary Nurse and a Staff Welfare Manager for a national Charity. Debbie is the first point of telephone contact, has input into referrals and admissions and contributes to the general running of the busy office. She has a Level 2 Qualification in Counselling, an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and is currently studying for an NVQ Level 3 in Management.
Becca initially came to TTP Luton as a client in June 2010. After a successful Detox and Rehabilitation programme, she joined TTP Bradford as a Support Worker. Currently, she is studying NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care and has completed certificates for level 1, 2, and 3 in Counselling Skills & Theories. Becca also has a degree in Fine Art and hopes to someday become a psychodynamic counsellor in the substance misuse field.
Tim has worked in substance misuse field for the last 7 years in a number of different settings. Tim has been working for TTP as a recovery coach since late December 2011.
Tim’s previous roles have included a recovery worker for a tier 3 structured day care provider, support worker in several supported accommodation settings and therapeutic programme coordinator in another tier 3 structured day care. Tim is a qualified NLP Practitioner, NVQ in Health and Social care as well as a HE Certificate in counselling. Tim hopes to gain further qualifications in counselling.
Dale joined the TTP Group, in January 2009. Dale’s main role is to work directly with families and individuals from entering detox and during their stay in rehab. Dale also undertakes all and oversees all external marketing and website development.
Due to his own experiences, Dale embarked on a vocation in the drug and alcohol field seven years ago. He has worked in the UK, Europe and North America in both 12 step and non 12 step holistic and therapeutic based residential rehab units and medical detox units.
Dale is always available to answer any questions that you may have about our detox, rehab and counselling programmes.
Chris embarked on a career in the Drug and Alcohol field owing to personal experiences of Drug and Alcohol related trauma. Having completed a CertHE at Sheffield Hallam University in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Drug and Alcohol Substance Misuse, Chris joined TTP to work in the admissions department, supporting individuals and families through the sometimes challenging task of entering into treatment.
Chris is available 7 days a week, at all times day and night to answer any questions that you might have about treatment.
Steven trained in the British Army as a nurse, specializing in trauma care and management, working extensively in third world arenas. He then progressed to take up a career with fire and rescue services. He soon after completed a degree in law which led to careers with Citizens Advice Bureau, Shelter, Age Concern and finally specializing in housing law with a local authority housing advice unit. Steven has a registered mangers qualification and is the CQC registered manager of TTP Bradford.
Steven became involved with substance misuse services via the voluntary route. From this a desire to work in this area developed and Steven has been a substance misuse practitioner for several years in all tiers of services. His role is to manage the clinical integrity of the referral process, to ensure that the contractual obligations are met. Including referrer support, streamlining the systems and referral pathways, providing help in setting up pre-detox support groups, aftercare and supporting the specialist with regards to detox admissions.
Andy joined TTP in Feb 2010. He has previous experience with drug treatment working within adult specialist prescribing services for the NHS and with young people with substance misuse issues. Andy is passionate and very excited about creating a recovery community within Sefton with TTP. He is qualified as a youth and community worker and gained an accreditation in substance misuse work via FDAP. Andy also has experience working in mental health with adults and young people in an inpatient setting.
Currently, Andy is 2 years into studying at Salford University to gain a BA Honors’ Degree in Social Work. Andy somehow finds time to train and compete in triathlon events.
Diane joined the TTP Team in July 2011. Diane’s Role is to take care of all administration and to support the Admissions Managers with referrals and clients in the North, Midlands, Scotland and Wales. To ensure smooth running of the admission and assessment process in a highly professional and efficient way.
Dawn joined the TTP team in June 2009 and brought with her a wealth of understanding and experience of the drug and alcohol recovery world. Dawn works closely with Public Health, DAAT and Adult Social Care teams across London, the South East, the South West and Eastern regions and is responsible for managing and coordinating service user referrals from these areas.
Dawn ensures that all referring agencies and their service users receive first class service during the referral, assessment and admission process and that multi-agency working and client care co-ordination is managed efficiently throughout the service users’ time with TTP.
David joined the TTP Team in July 2011. David’s Role is to take care of all administration and to support the Admissions Managers with referrals and clients in the South. To ensure smooth running of the admission and assessment process in a highly professional and efficient way.
